Dear Girl,

I feel that the time has come for me to find you. I know you are out there somewhere. You may already know me, or I may already know you. But our world has not yet been crossed.

Don't worry, I'll find you, I promise. And when I do, I hope that you will love me because I'm me.

I hope you won't be embarassed when my clothes don't match, or be tired of me wearing the same set of jean and white polo shirt, or be annoyed when I want to watch Liverpool on ESPN, instead of The Bachelor.

I hope that you will remember I play soccer, not hockey, and I play forward, not defense,
and that every weekend I go to the LAN shop.

I pray that you'll love me despite my tendency to forget birthdays, and if I'm out with your friends, please write their names really small on my hand so I can use it as reference.

Please know that I will constantly act strong and in control, but inside I am actually lost and confused. (Just don't tell my friends)

Please don't worry if I hurt myself while playing. Instead, be there to mend my wounds with kisses.

Please forgive me if I blurt out words that may be blunt and insensitive. I'm also human, and I do make mistakes.

Remember that hurting you is the something I can't and never will do, because I'd be a fool if I did so. And only by making mistakes, can I learn from them and change for the better.

Don't ignore me when you are angry, because words may hurt, but silence is worst.

Being ignored by you is much worse than being grounded during weekends or getting extra guard duties.

Understand that loving each other means being together, but not all of the time.

We should never bail on our friends.

Also understand that I may at times act jealous and overly protective, but only because I have insecurities, not because of you are doing anything wrong.

And if we fall out of love with one another, please don't hate me.

And if I cry in front of you, please don't laugh at me.

Please know that I'm sensitive... In a manly, tough kind of way.

Please be honest with me without being hurtful. After all, I am a guy.

And I promise to always be honest with you, because you deserve honesty.

And I promise to open doors for you, buy your ticket when we go to the movies, help you find a dictionary if you need one and do my best to simplify the things you find complex.

And no, you aren't fat, so please don't constantly ask.

And you don't need makeup either. You are naturally beautiful.

Oh, and don't be upset if you cut your hair and I don't notice.
