Something interesting happened today.
Valerie went tutoring Chee Ho again.
Well, Chee Ho was formerly tutored by me before I handed him over to Valerie due to some difficulties in fitting his schedule into mine. Chee Ho is presently in the Secondary 3 Normal Academic Stream.
Valerie called me this evening to ask me a question, which she had difficulty in solving, from one of Chee Ho's Mathematics assessment books. Here goes the question:

Solve the following problem.

Valerie had no idea how to solve this problem... So she approached me and asked me the question. I directed the questions to Christine, hoping a NUS student could solve it. At that moment, I didn't try to solve it yet.
Christine called back 20 minutes later, telling me that she couldn't solve the problem. She has tried using Simultaneous Equation, Algebra and Algorithm, but still she couldn't solve the problem.
While that, Valerie still has no idea on how to solve the problem.
Me? Haha... I actually solved the problem... BUT... I solved it using an Add Mathematics method... In another words, I totally can't solve the problem too. Secondary 3 Normal Academic... Where got so hard one? It seems that the question can't be solved using normal solutions...
At the end of the day, I called Valerie and told her that I couldn't come up with the solution... She too had also given up on trying and left Chee Ho's place.
Can someone please enlightening me the solution for the problem above?
Anyway, I will be going to Beach Road Market to get my National Service items with Zixian tomorrow. Meeting him at 11am at Lavender MRT Station. Plans are that after we get my National Service stuffs, we will hang on at City Hall. He also told me to bring a bag along... The problem is how big should the bag be? Judging from my list, I think a medium one will do.
Hope that I will not be late... Need to sleep early today to wake up in time for tomorrow.
