Today... A busy day for me...
I went to Creative Headquarters at Jurong in the early morning. Stadium Cove had asked me to give a motivational talk to the management. The whole talk extended up to around 2pm. In between, there was a lunch break for everyone. I can't say that the talk went well. There aren’t much questions asked and not much interest was shown, but the employees attending it shown plenty of respect to us (The speakers).
Well, I can't blame them right? Try recalling the days when we are students. Most of us were like this when we were asked to attend lectures and talks. No? Not true? Well, at least I am one who reacted that way. Especially after lunch, the whole mood was sleepy. Although the Creative staffs did not fell asleep, we could sense the solemn mood. Due to this, we cut short our talk and presented them some facts and figures before calling it a day.
Packed our stuffs and exchanged greetings with the management. Mingled with them for some time and allowing them to clarify their doubts with us. This dragged on for around another hour or so. Mr Chan (Fellow speaker) offered me a lift to Orchard since I mentioned that I got to meet someone at Borders Bookstore.
Actually, it was a last minute decision to meet this someone as I did not expect to leave so early. Well, I can't say who this someone is because she does not want to be identified. In case, you guys were thinking that I have other ideas on my mind, let me tell you this. SHE IS MARRIED... So this should be able to dispel all those rumors that I am back on the dating scene. And don't you go thinking that "Got husband, can divorce" kind of thinking. I am not this kind of bastard. I may be a bastard in other ways, but not this.
Sat down and had coffee with her. Caught up on where we left off the last time. I believed that the last time we left off was 3 years ago. It is a wonder that she still remembers my number and got into contact with me. Well, I am sorry that I missed her wedding. I admit it was on purpose due to some unforeseen reasons. There were a lot of stories going on that time, so it is best that I kept my distance.
What can I say about her? She has matured a lot. She has changed a lot in her school of thought. She has changed her character as well. She used to be very stubborn and possessive. Chatted with her until around 5.40pm. She got to go as her husband had knocked off from work and she is meeting her husband elsewhere. Although things did not work out for us that time, I am still very glad that we remain as friends.
By the way, I received an SMS from Ivy saying that everything went smoothly for her today and she is very happy. Felt very happy and glad that things are going well for all my friends.
The only person, whom I am left to concern about, is Zixian. Well... It is about his relationship with this Jessica. On one hand, he does not want to commit to any relationships before he is enlisted. He wants to put his family in the first place for now. But on the other hand, he feels something for Jessica that he himself can't deny. And this Jessica is only 16. What I felt was, he should give Jessica a chance. Regardless how it works out, at least, he can say that he has already done his best and will not regret this in the future times. He is going to meet her tomorrow. He said that he is hoping to be able to control his own emotions and not get into a relationship.
Actually, I felt the same way as him. It is just that for me, this person have not turned up yet. I admit that I held back because of Sara. But, if the RIGHT girl really comes by, I might just put my heart forward. All I know is that this kind of things can't be forced. I will just leave this to fate. If fate wants me to remember Sara forever, so be it. I do not have any regrets anyway.
My mum was sitting beside me just now and was reading what I have written. Guess what? She asked me why I can't just move on in life. She said that she hopes to see me settle down soon. Well... I don't know how to answer her questions. I just told her, "With my looks and character, it is not as if I can just approach any girl and befriend them. Looks are important, you know... Anyway, when Sara was with me, she tolerated a lot of my nonsense, but yet she can forgive and find joy in all my mistakes. Now that she is no longer here, it is very unfair of me to just forget her." My mum just kept quiet and said whatever I wish. She knows that I am very stubborn and does not listen to others easily.
Aiyoh... This post brought back a lot of memories and feelings. I kept on thinking and asking myself, what if everything is different? What will happen? The beauty of life is always this question. What if? We will never know the answer... We can only imagine... What we imagine can never be confirmed whether it will be so or not... What could be more beautiful than this?
