Got a call from Sara late last night. We had a long talk throughout the whole day until 7am this morning.
We managed to talk things round and she gave me her support of me seeking Vivien. Her response to the situation sort of surprised me. I did not expect her to be so supportive of my actions. I was feeling very guilty towards her because I did this without discussing with her. I know that my actions hurt her, but she did not even complain or hold it against me. Instead, she encourages me to look for Vivien and even help me to contact her friends regarding this matter. I was totally wrong about her when she did not call me the past few days.
She also raised an issue, which I have been very afraid of in the past.
As she has graduated from NUS this year, she wants to further her studies. Her application to Harvard University has been successful. Harvard has been one of the top universities in the world. It is one of the universities that she has been wishing to enter since she was in Secondary school. The thought of her leaving Singapore and away from me hurts. But I do not want to hinder her from her dreams. She wanted to discuss with me if she should go. I was in a dilemma, though I do not want her to go, but this has been her dream and I do not want to stand between her and it. All that I could say is the choice is up to her. I told her that this is one in a lifetime chance, and she must not make the wrong choice. We ended the call on a dim mode, not concluding the issue, but escaping from it.
Although I am feeling much relieved after the conversion with her, I still feel that her furthering of studies bothered me a lot. The Vivien issue did not turn out as bad as I thought it will be, but the Studies issue hit me with a rock on the head. I couldn't keep it out of my mind. Her, leaving for studies, has always been on my mind, but right now, it turned into a reality. All I can say now is I hoped that she will go fulfill her dreams, but if possible, with me. Although she may not be the girl, whom I loved the most, she is the one, who I cared the most.
Another headache with all these going on. There will be endless worrying and pain for me.
